APPLICATION PROCESS
How do I apply for a position with Pacific Drilling?
All individuals interested in an open position must submit an on-line application through the Pacific Drilling Careers web site at www.pacificdrilling.com/careers. You may click View Position Postingsto view our current position openings. You are encouraged to complete the New User Registration first and then apply to a specific posting.
I don’t see a position I am interested in on but would like to be considered for future openings. What should I do?
You may register as a candidate in the Careers section by clicking New User Registration. This will allow recruiters to search for your set of skills should a position become available. However, to ensure that you are considered for specific positions, we encourage you to periodically check our website and apply for positions of interest. Our career website is updated on a daily basis, so check back regularly for new postings.
Do you accept resumes or applications via e-mail?
No. At Pacific Drilling, we do not accept paper applications or resumes (e.g. faxes, emails, etc.). To apply, visit www.pacificdrilling.com/careers and click on either View Position Postings or New User Registration to get started.
I see more than one position that I am interested in, do I need to apply multiple times?
A separate application must be submitted for each position of interest.
What is the current status of my application?
Upon completion of the online application process, applicants receive a confirmation email. At this point, the application is submitted to the position(s) of your choice. Applications are screened for the most qualified candidates to proceed to the next step in the process. With regret, due to the large volume of applications, we are unable to personally respond to all applicants. Generally, all applicants will receive an email when the position is closed.
I met the qualifications for a position. Why wasn’t I contacted?
You may be competing with a large number of qualified candidates. Applications are screened for the most qualified candidates to proceed to the next step in the process. With regret, due to the large volume of applications, we are unable to personally respond to all applicants. If selected for an interview, or if additional information is needed, a Pacific Drilling representative will contact you directly via email or telephone. Generally, all applicants will receive an email when the position is closed.
How do I update my application?
Once an online application is submitted, the only information that can be changed or updated is your contact information (name, address, phone number). If you need to change your contact information, please log in and enter your user name and password. Click Personal Data, update your information and click Overview and Release; ensure that you have indicated to Release Profile then click Complete.

At what age can I be hired by Pacific Drilling?
A person must be at least 18 years of age to be employed by the Company.
What are the requirements for employment at Pacific Drilling?
The basic qualifications for each position are included in the job posting. There may be pre-hire requirements should you be selected for a position. What is your policy related to employment agencies?
Pacific Drilling does not accept unsolicited resumes from recruiting or placement agencies. Unfortunately, we have been made aware of unauthorized individuals representing us in the marketplace. In the event that Pacific Drilling engages a recruiting or placement agency, there must be a signed contract in place prior to starting any recruiting efforts on our behalf. Appointment of an authorized agent will be clearly announced on our website.
